NZSA Northern Regional Breakfast Meeting – Thursday 24th April 2014

Speaker:  Robert (Bob) Cove, CPP, Covertone Consulting.

Bob served for twenty-three years as an Army Officer in the Royal Australian Corps of Signals, specialising in information and communications security.

Since 2001 Bob has been continuously accredited by the Australian Signals Directorate to assess and certify Commonwealth and other agencies’ IT systems to Commonwealth best practice standards under the Infosec Registered Assessor Program (IRAP).  

Also in 2001, Bob gained an internationally recognized general security certification through ASIS International as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), and has been continuously certified since then.  
In 2013 Bob was appointed as Secretary to the Board of the Australian Institute of Professional Intelligence Officers (AIPIO).  He is also a member of ISACA, and recently achieved eligibility for certification as a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).

Topic: The Australian Infosec Assessor Program (IRAP), which assesses and certifies Commonwealth and other agencies’ IT systems to Commonwealth best practice standards, describing what areas of IT security it assesses, with a comparison to the ISO 278001 process.

Venue: Normanby Hotel, 37 Normanby Rd, Mt Eden - There is plenty of free parking available in the car park on the right.

Time: 7am - 9am (breakfast served at 7.30am)
Arrive early for a chance to mingle with your peers over coffee. A cooked buffet breakfast will be served at 7.30am. The meeting will be finished by 9am.

Costs (including breakfast): are $25 per person for NZSA & ASIS members and $30 for non members.
